WIFE DIES BEFORE HUSBAND CAN ARRIVE
Mary Buckley Succumbs To Complication of Disorders
Mrs. Mary Buckley, wife of M. L. Buckley, succumbed to a complication and pleurisy and heart trouble yesterday afternoon at 3:50 o’clock at the Buckley home in West Prescott, after an illness of only a week. Her death came as a shock to her many friends who were not aware of her serious conditions. The end was not unexpected by her immediate relatives, who were aware that the attending physicians had given up hopes for her recovery three days ago, when a consultation of the leading doctors of the city was held.
A telegram announcing her serious conditions was sent to her husband in Indiana Friday. He left Evansville yesterday afternoon for her bedside, as is yet unaware of her death. He is expected here Monday night.
With her husband she leaves surviving one daughter, Miss Olive Buckley, three sons, Leo Buckley, James Buckley, Cornelius Buckley, her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Mangan, a brother, P. M. Mangan, and two sisters, Mrs. Heslin of Colorado, and Mrs. Harr, residing in Nevada. Her parents and children were with her when death came as a relief to her suffering.
Previous to coming to this city four years ago with her family to make her home here, she resided in Montana and Colorado.
During her residence in Prescott she endeared herself to a large number of friends, whose sympathy goes to the loved ones she leaves behind in their bereavement.
Her remains will be prepared for interment by the Runer [sic] undertaking establishment. Funeral announcement will be made later.
