Arizona Journal Miner, Prescott, Arizona Territory Wednesday, December 23, 1908, page 5, column 2 Joseph Puette Dies Less than five hours after being admitted to the hospital Monday afternoon, Joseph Puette succumbed to pneumonia Monday night at 9 o'clock. He was 57 years old and a native of Indiana. He leaves no immediate relatives here. Five sisters reside in Indianapolis, Indiana. His remains will be interred in the Citizens' cemetery here in accordance with instructions received here yesterday from his sisters. The funeral will be held Thursday under the direction of the Ruffner undertaking establishment. He resided in this city several years and was held in the highest respect by all who knew him. He was a retired theatrical manager.
