ARCHER, Russell Lewis

The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Sunday, December 01, 2013 Russell Lewis Archer, 73, passed away on Monday, Nov. 18, 2013. He was born on Jan. 24, 1940, in Brazil, Ind. Russell moved to Arizona in 1955 and lived there for the remainder of his years. He went to work for Motorola in 1965 and retired after 30 years with the company. Russell married Judy Martin in 1962 in Phoenix, Ariz. They were happily married for 51 years. When he retired, he and Judy moved to Dewey, Ariz. Russell was preceded in death by his father Ray Archer and his brothers Chuck and Doug Archer. Russell is survived by his spouse Judy; his son Jim Archer; his daughters Brenda (Paul) Petersen and Jennifer (Gilbert) Castillo; his grandchildren Tristen and Bryce Archer, Trey and RaeLyn Petersen, and Alex and Angela Castillo; his mother Laura Archer; his brothers Bill (Bonnie) Archer and Joe (Pam) Archer; his sisters Barbara (Junior) Frederick, Phyllis Baltisberger, Nancy (Jim) Sexton; his loving nieces, nephews and numerous other relatives. A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 7, 2013, at Prescott Valley Country Club, 1030 N. Prescott Country Club Blvd., Dewey. A celebration of life will be immediately following the services at the Country Club. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations to be made to Hospice Family Care, 100 E.
