ENDFIELD, Samuel (Sanyo)


Silver Creek Mortuary, Taylor, Arizona Samuel Endfield (September 26, 1926 - November 29, 2013) Samuel Endfield (well known as Sanyo’) age 87 of Cibecue, AZ, went to be with the Lord on November 29, 2013. Sanyo’ was born September 26, 1926 in Cibecue, AZ and spent his life there working as a cowboy, throughout the years he liked talking about his cowboy friends and experiences. He worked on multiple ranches, and ranched all over the White Mountains, both on and off the reservation including, X-4, Oak Creek, Medicine, Apache Spring, Grasshopper, Flying V Ranch and I.D. Ranch. He liked his kids, grandkids and enjoyed doing things outdoors. He enjoyed cutting wood, ranching, telling stories and was a rustic type of man. Sanyo’ is survived by two sons, Andy Endfield and Simon and Beverly Endfield, also he is survived by four daughters Priscilla Henry, Selina and Angel Pina Sr., by Dorothy Endfield and Roy Ivins Sr., and Belinda and Edwin Machuse Sr. There are also many grandchildren, great grandchildren and one great-great grandson and extended family members including his sister Elizabeth Cody and his brother in laws, Levi DeHose and Jonas DeHose, one sister in law Rena Gregg. He was preceded in death by his wife Laura D. Endfield. A two night wake began in his honor on Thursday, Dec. 5th at 10:00 AM in Cibecue, AZ, with a horse and wagon escort. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Dec. 7th at 10:00 AM at the Cottonwood Gym in Cibecue, after which a horse drawn hearse will carry his casket to the Sunnyside Cemetery in Cibecue for interment.
