COX, Vernice M.

Vernice M. Cox, 84, passed away on March 4th, 2004. She was born in Lebanon, Indiana, February 13th, 1920. In 1944 she and her husband, Wilbur R. "Bud" Cox, moved to Phoenix, AZ where she was a member of the Church of Transfiguration in Apache Junction. She resided twenty years in Queen Valley and within the last four years, she and her loyal companion, John "Bob" Dolan, lived at Merrill Gardens. She is survived by her daughter Peggy J. Alcorn (Jim), 2 grandsons Sam and Curtis Alcorn, 3 great grandchildren, 1 great great granddaughter, 7 sisters and 3 brothers. Service was held at Falconer Funeral Home, 251 W. Juniper Ave., Gilbert, on March 9, 2004. Published in the Arizona Republic on 3/7/2004.
