Long, who has lived in this section for the past forty-three years, died at the Mercy hospital on Monday evening last. Long, said he knew Long well in the early days, when he lived near Tucson, owned a fine ranch and was well to do, and was quite a prominent man, having run for Congress against Chas. D. Long was held yesterday afternoon from the undertaking parlors of Frank Nevin. Interment was had in the citizens’ cemetery. The remains were followed to the grave by a large number of the friends and acquaintances of the deceased. The services were conducted by Rev. Cheek, pastor of the M. E. South church on West Gurley street.
