The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Sunday, December 08, 2013 Sammy Moore, born Nov. 19, 1957, in El Monte, Calif., to Bertha Elizabeth Best and John Henry Moore, went home to be with our Lord on Nov. 27, 2013. Sammy attended Prescott High School and graduated in the class of 1976. He was an outstanding athlete in co-ed volleyball, baseball and basketball; in the Prescott City League, he was known as the "high-point man." He was a poet at heart and loved to listen to music, play his harmonicas and guitar, and go to concerts. Sammy was proud to be a block mason. Sammy is survived by his sweetheart, Amy Martin; his sons, Ruairi and Levi; and siblings Walter, Johnnie Manning, Robbie Mitchel and Neil. A celebration of his life will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 14, at the LDS Stake Center, 7073 E. Pronghorn Ranch, Prescott Valley, Ariz. Information provided by survivors.
