Prescott Journal Miner, Prescott, Arizona Territory Tuesday Morning, July 9, 1907, page 4, column 2 Death of A. E. Pettit Alexander E. Petit, brother of Joseph Petit, of this city, died Sunday evening at 9 o'clock, at the residence of his brother, after a lingering illness, due to tuberculosis. Deceased came here from the state of Washington, about two weeks ago, for the benefit of his health, but physicians were unable to stay the progress of the dread malady, which had already made great inroads upon his health. He leaves a wife and a child, a mother and a sister and brother. Funeral services will take place today from Ruffner's chapel, interment in the Citizen's cemetery ------------------------- Prescott Evening Courier, Prescott, Arizona Territory Tuesday, July 9, page 3, column 1 Local News - The funeral of the late Alexander E. Petit, will be held at G. C. Ruffner's undertaking parlors, Tuesday, July 9 at 3 p.m.. Interment at Citizens' cemetery. All friends and acquaintances of the family are invited to attend. Mr. Petit died at the home of his brother Sunday night. He came her about two weeks ago from the state of Washington.
