BURNS, Veronica G.

Veronica G. Burns, 89, of Scottsdale, died April 14, 2004. Born in New York City, New York, she was a 1935 Graduate of Hunter College, NY, NY and had been a Facilities Planner with the State University of New York, Old Westbury. Veronica married William Devine Burns in 1936, he preceded her in 1968. She moved to Arizona 20 years ago from NY and was a member of St. Bernard of Clairvaux Catholic Church. Survivors include two sisters, Mary Green of Scottsdale and Agnes Benito of Stuart, FL; niece Jennifer Giustra and two nephews, Paul (Sandra) Benito and Patrick Benito. She was preceded in death by a brother and sister. A Memorial Mass was held Monday, April 19, 2004 at St. Bernard of Clairvaux, 10755 N. 124th Street, Scottsdale, AZ . Contributions may be made to Hospice of the Valley, 1510 E. Flower Street, Phoenix, AZ 85014 or the Church. Messinger Indian School Mortuary assisted with arrangements.
