PATTEN, Milton (Mike)

Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, AZ - Posted: Friday, November 8, 2013 - Milton “Mike” Patten, 71, of Boyne Falls and Lake Havasu City, born in Pontiac, Mich., Aug. 19, 1942, son of Milton and Trilby Patten, died Nov. 4, 2013 in Charlevoix. Mike retired from the Oakland County Road Commission, spent his winters in Lake Havasu City, and moved with his wife, Karen, to Northern Michigan to be closer to his son and daughter-in-law, Brian and Charity Patten, and his two grand-daughters, Emma and Erin. Mike is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Karen, and his younger sister, Kay Conception, of Arizona. Mike will be greatly missed by family and friends for his warm and easy-going nature, willingness to help others, and the love and devotion he had for his family. Mike enjoyed classic cars, building, tinkering, shooting, and was always reading and planning for his next “project.” Mike’s long history of heart disease finally took him from us, peacefully, but too soon for all that knew and loved him. The family will be holding a private memorial. Cards of support, or stories of remembrance, can be sent to the family at: P.O. Box 896, Boyne City, MI 49712. The family asks that any tributes or memorials be directed to the charity of your choice in Mike’s honor. Family and friends wishing to share a thought or memory of Mike are encouraged to do so online at www.stonefuneralhominc.com.
