Phyllis Marlene (Helton) McCoy passed away peacefully at home in the early morning hours of Nov. 11, 2013. She was born May 23, 1945 in Cincinnati, Ohio to Berry and Buelah (Saylor) Helton.
In 1951 Beulah moved the family to California where Phyllis went to school and later worked as an electronics assembler in the aircraft and electronics industries. Phyllis retired in 2000 and in August of 2004 moved to Lake Havasu City with her husband, James “Kim” McCoy. She loved spending time on the lake surrounded by family and friends.
Phyllis is survived by her husband, Kim; daughters, Dana, Ingrid, Melody, Julie, Lori and Amy; eight grandsons, nine granddaughters, three great-grandsons, one great-granddaughter; and sisters, Wanda Dillon, Judie Burghardt, and Tracy Whitehair.
A memorial service will take place Sunday, Nov. 17 at the Elk’s Lodge #2399 at 2 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society or Hospice of Havasu.
