Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, AZ - Posted: Tuesday, November 19, 2013 - Long-time former Lake Havasu City resident and Lake Havasu High School Special Education and Social Studies teacher, Ronald Hollis died at home Nov. 16, 2013 just 11 days before his 72nd birthday. His passing ended a six-month battle with a spinal malignancy. He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Joyce of Maricopa; a daughter, Ami Hollis, of Lake Havasu City and his stepson, Jason (Alyson) Baer, of Bloomington, Ind. He was a proud “Papa” to grandchildren Annika and Ethan Baer. Preceded in death by his parents and his stepson, Jeffrey Baer, he will be cremated with no services scheduled as per his wishes. Memorials in his name may be directed to Evercare Hospice, 2025 N. 3rd Street, #170 Phoenix, AZ 85004 or to his church family, Community of Hope, P.O. Box 723, Maricopa, AZ 85139.
