Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, AZ - Posted: Wednesday, November 20, 2013 - Maria F. Carrera passed away Nov. 16, 2013 after years of suffering Pulmonary Fibrosis. She was born March 8, 1934, in Jalisco Mexico. Until her last day, she was full of life, not letting anything bring her down. Maria was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and aunt. She was a strong, courageous woman who leaves behind five daughters; five sons; 27 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Forever in her family’s hearts will be cherished with all the great memories shared with her. Maria went home to her Lord, Jesus Christ and her husband, Alberto. Maria will never be forgotten. May she rest in peace. A visitation will take place at Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home Nov. 21, between 4 and 8 p.m. with a Rosary at 6 p.m. Funeral services will be at Our Lady of the Lake Roman Catholic Church Friday, Nov. 22, at noon with Father Chauncey Winkler officiating. Burial will be at Lake Havasu Memorial Gardens Cemetery right after the service with a reception to follow in the Parish Hall.
