Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, AZ - Posted: Saturday, November 23, 2013 - Lake Havasu pioneer, former resident and founder of Frontier Concrete, Lamar Holmes, died in Las Vegas Nov. 13, 2013 of congestive heart failure. He was 86 years old. He is survived by his son, Fraser (Lynn), of Las Vegas; son, Loron (Margaret), of Lake Havasu City; son, Leslie (Tina), of Hudson, Fla.; daughter, Tracy Gallagher (Trace), of Manhattan Beach, Calif. He was a loving grandfather to Marchetta Benesch (Brandon); Fraser (Katie); Evy and Lila Gallagher and a great-grandfather to Slade and Piper Benesch and Makenna Holmes. He was preceded in death by his parents and the love of his life, wife Marguerite Holmes. He will be cremated with no services, as per his wishes.
