Rebecca Pease, 99, of Ruckersville, Va., went to be with her Lord on Tuesday, Nov. 19, 2013 in Charlottesville, Va.
Rebecca was born March 27, 1914 in Elnora, Pa. She was the daughter of William and Elizabeth Wylie. She was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Mearl Pease.
She was a labor and delivery nurses' aid for much of her life. She was also a member of St. John's United Methodist Church in Kingman for many years, and she served in many different ministries. In 2011, she moved to Ruckersville, where she attended Calvary Chapel of Green and developed a passion for the food bank ministry.
She is survived by her daughter, Dotty Patriquin, of Ruckersville; her grandsons, David Patriquin and his wife, Alicia, of Kingman, Daniel Patriquin and his wife, Joanie, of Ruckersville, and Robert Patriquin and his wife, Laura, of Kingman. She is also survived by her great-grandchildren, Matthew Patriquin of Tempe, Melissa Patriquin of Phoenix and Michael Patriquin of Kingman.
Her family would like to express heartfelt thanks to all who touched her life with kindness and love too great to adequately express words.
A public viewing is scheduled to take place from 5-7 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 26, at Sutton Funeral Home, 1701 Sycamore Ave.
