Greer’s Mortuary of Winslow, Winslow, Arizona Joe Billie October 10, 1941 - December 19, 2013 Visitation for Joe Billie will be held at Greer’s Mortuary Chapel at 10:00 AM on Monday, Dec. 23, 2013 with a Graveside Service to follow at Family Plot in Castle Butte, AZ. Joe was born October 10, 1941 in Castle Butte, AZ and entered into rest on December 19, 2013 in Flagstaff, AZ. He was a Rancher with the local Arizona Ranchers, he was a Rodeo contestant, with roping team, and did silver smithing. He retired after 20 years with Navajo Tribe Water Resources. Joe was a rancher in his younger years at local Northern AZ ranches and in Northern states like Montana, Wyoming and Idaho. He was a father who earned a living by silver smithing and as a heavy equipment operator for Navajo Nation Water Resources for 20 years until he retired. He also competed in AIRCA and many rodeos and jackpot roping. Other hobbies included spending time with his wife and he enjoyed all her good cooking. He spent 44 years as great companion to his wife Kathy. Joe was a wonderful father and family man. He is survived by his wife Katherine Billie; son Kahn Billie; daughter Blessing Billie and grandmother Evalee Billie.
