Arizona Weekly Journal Miner, Prescott, Arizona Territory Wednesday, November 20, 1889, page 3, col. 1 Died - Poe - In Prescott, November 17, 1889, Elihu Poe, aged 50 years, 5 months and 9 days. ---------------------------- Arizona Weekly Journal Miner, Prescott, Arizona Territory Wednesday, November 20, 1889, page 3, col. 3 The funeral of the late Elihu Poe took place this afternoon from the family residence on Marina St., near the Johnson House, and was attended by a large concourse of people, as the deceased was an exemplary citizen, and universally esteemed. He leaves a wife and one daughter to mourn the loss of an affectionate husband and kind father, who have the sympathies of the community in their bereavement. The remains were interred in the citizen's cemetery. Rev. E. D. Wykoff, of the Congregational church officiated at the services. Transcriber's Note: The exact location of Mr. Poe's grave site is not known.
