Nan Kathryn Degnan, 95, of Peoria, Arizona, died on Tuesday, April 6, 2004. She was born in Stillwater, Minnesota on December 6, 1907 to John and Mary Glennon. She married Thomas L. Degnan on September 24, 1938. Mr. Degnan died on August 30, 1997 after almost 60 years of a happy marriage. Nan was a housewife and assisted her husband in establishing his business in Grand Forks, North Dakota. They retired to Sun City in 1979. The Degnans were Catholics and members of St. Elizabeth Seton Church. A beloved mother, she is survived by three daughters: Nancy (James) Schumacher of Colorado Springs, Colorado; Becky (Edward) Weber of Little Rock, Arkansas; and Denise (Bill) Dyer of Londonderry, New Hampshire; and three grandsons: Mark and Preston Schumacher and Christopher Weber; and two great granddaughters: Kayla and Emily Schumacher. A Funeral Mass celebrating her life was at Sunland Mortuary, presided over by the Rev. Milt Adamson, CSC, on Friday, April 16, 2004. In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer donations to a library, or a charity of the donor's choice. Arrangements handled by Sunland Memorial Park, 623-933-0161.
