Loren E. (Red)
Loren E. Albin Sr. "Red" passed away Friday, Jan. 27, 2006, at home with his wife and daughters at his side. He had been suffering with cancer for a very long time.
He was born June 15, 1943, in Eureka, Calif. He was reared in Weott, Calif., in the heart of the redwoods.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Jo; four children, Loren E. Albin Jr. of Carson City, Nev., Walace D. Albin of Gardnerville, Nev., Mary Ann Albin of Salt Lake City, Utah, and Amy W. Albin of Kingman; and three grandchildren, Samantha S. Albin, Jesse R. Albin and Chase M. Albin. He was the son of James L. Albin and Mabel L. Albin of Weott. He is survived by eight brothers and sisters: Mary Pierre and Don of Bozeman, Mont.; Jim Albin and Alice of Gettysburg, S.D.; Chet Albin and Karen of Eureka; Arthur Bruga and Kindell of Eureka; Vona Swearingen and Rich of Corvallis, Ore.; Corky Alexander and Ron of Samson, Ala.; Sarah Crile and Wayne of Siloam Springs, Ark.; and Kathy Reid and Jim of Federal Way, Wash; He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
He became a Kingman resident in July 1998. He will be missed by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him. He was retired from the U.S. Army and had been disabled for the past 10 years. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Hilltop Ward.
We thank the Kingman Regional Medical Cancer Center for excellent care and love these past two years (especially Dr. Malik). We would also like to thank Dr. Cruey Spencer of Cerbat Medical Center for superb care. Thanks also to all the caring people at the X-ray Department and Hospice of KRMC.
