SUMNER, Joan Evelyn

Joan Evelyn Bradley Sumner, born July 19, 1943, the youngest of 14 children, departed to be with the Lord on Sunday, Jan. 29, 2006. She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Estill "Pete" Sumner; two sons, Larry and Dale of Kingman; one daughter, Cheryl Bales of Luther, Okla.; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; and several brothers and sisters in North Carolina. She is preceded in death by her son, Darrell; her parents; and brothers and sisters. Joan lived in Kingman 38 years. She was a faithful member of Church of Christ on Robinson Street. Even with arthritis, Joan loved to crochet. She made many dolls and donated them to clubs to auction off. She also made many lap robes each year to send to the Veterans Administration Hospital in Prescott. In lieu of flowers, please make memorial gifts to the Kingman Regional Medical Center Hospice, 1790 Sycamore #S, Kingman, AZ 86409.
