WARD, David Dean

The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ 12/27/2013 David Dean Ward, 49, went to be with the Lord unexpectedly Dec. 3, 2013, after a short battle with cancer in Snowflake. He was born Oct. 21, 1964, to Rosalie and John Ward. David’s interests were hockey, baseball, horses and cats. He served in the United States Marine Corps for 12 years. He served in the Persian Gulf War, and had rifle expert badges and logistic embarkation specialist and had four good conduct medals. David is survived by his mother, Rosalie Vroome; stepfather Richard Vroome of Snowflake; brothers: Robert (Emily and family) and Tony (Emily and family); nieces Melissa Christina, Kaylee and Talia; and nephew Shawn Ward. David was preceded in death by grandparents Frank and Rosalie Brown of California. Services were held Dec. 9 at Shilow Family plot. Silver Creek Mortuary handled arrangements.
