George J. Lutz, Jr. went to be with our Heavenly Father on Dec. 22, 2013, in his home in Kingman. He was born on May 5, 1944 in Fontana, Calif. He protected countless lives during his lifetime, including serving as a proud Marine for four years, a firefighter for 10 years and a building official for 20 years, having college degrees in the latter two. The world has lost an unsung hero.
George is survived by his wife, Terry Lutz, who never just "looked" at him but "looked up" to him as a man of integrity, dignity and honor in his personal and professional life. He never wavered in his ideals and always treated everyone with kindness and respect. George and Terry have five children: Susan (Dave) Coonfield, Tina (Mark) Lowrimore, John (Karly) Lutz, Leah (Joe) Stein and Michael (Samantha) Chappell. Eight grandchildren: James, Christopher, and Michael Craig, Tyler and Justin Lowrimore, Forrest (Devin) Stein, Tiffany Stein, and Willie Chappell. He also has great-granddaughter Sandra Stein who adored him.
George was loved, adored and respected by his children. He was their superman and has always been there for them, putting them before himself from childhood to the time of his passing. He will always be remembered, cherished, and loved.
Funeral services will be held at Sutton Funeral Home on Saturday, Dec. 28 at 1 p.m. with a burial ceremony following immediately at Mountain View Cemetery.
