WHITAKER, Willard LeRoy


Willard LeRoy Whitaker, 95, died in Phoenix, Arizona on February 13, 2006. He was born in Dunlap, Kansas, came to Arizona in 1945. He was engaged in air-conditioning and insulation contracting. LeRoy was Board member and President of Western States Insulation Contractors Association and Board Member of the National Association of Insulation Contractors. He was a Charter Member of the Arizona Chapter of the American Society of Heating and Air Conditioning Engineers. LeRoy volunteered for the American Cancer Society for many years. Church was important to LeRoy, he supported and was active, committed and involved in the many church homes during his lifetime. LeRoy's family and friends wish to salute a life well lived. LeRoy enjoyed independent living for 95 years, quite a remarkable accomplishment. LeRoy was loved by everyone, he seemed to make a new friend everywhere he went. LeRoy is survived by Jon Whitaker, son and Laurel Pearce, daughter of Phoenix. There are six Grandchildren and eleven Great Grandchildren, and his beloved friend Ruth Wright who was his dominoes partner for many years. A celebration of LeRoy's life was at Bethany Bible Church, 6060 North 7th Avenue, Phoenix, Arizona 85013.
