Tomas Jaurequi 93. Longtime Flagstaff resident,passed away on December 23, 2013.
Tomas was a resident of "Los Chantes" which is now University Plaza.
He was also a resident of "La Plaza Vieja". Old Town,for more than 60 years.
He was a loving husband,Father,Grandfather,and Great Grandfather.
Tomas enjoyed living in Flagstaff .
Meeting the love of his life Maria "Lucy ". Tomas went to work for Southwest Forest Industries,and was employed there for 39 years until his retirement in 1984 .
Tomas was a member Of Our Lady of Guadalupe Church,and in 2006 celebrated his 60th Wedding Anniversary.
Tomas was a member of The Sawmill Workers Union 2772 which was founded in the 1940s and was a lifetime member of United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America Local Union No.408
He will be greatly missed for his kindness and loving patience and gentle spirit.
He is survived by his children Fernando Jaurequi Maria Ricketts and Martha (Jim ) Canto.
He is also survived by his grandchildren and great grandchildren .
He is preceded in death by his wife Maria and son Thomas.
A Celebration of Life will be held in the spring and notification will be in the newspaper.
