SAMS, Oscar T.

Oscar T. Sams, 56, of 2225 N. Eighth St., died yesterday, Dec. 6, 1964, in the Phoenix Veterans Hospital after a six-month illness. A resident of Phoenix for six years, he was a plumber and steamfitter. He came here from Gastonia, North Carolina, his birthplace. He was a member of the Masons and VFW Post 720. Surviving are his wife, Fay; three sisters, Lillian Sams, Mrs. Helen McSwain and Mrs. Lois Craig, all of Gastonia. Funeral services and burial will be in Gastonia. Friends may call today at A. L. Moore and Sons Mortuary, 333 W. Adams. The Arizona Republic Monday, Dec. 7, 1964.
