WOLFE, Dawson R.


Dawson R. Wolfe, 94, an Arizona pioneer, died Dec. 6, 1964, in a hospital. His home was at 212 E. Butler. Born in Warrensburg, Missouri, Mr. Wolfe rode a horse to Arizona in 1884. He was a miner, working in Globe, Miami, Wickenburg, Jerome and other Arizona mining communities. For the last 45 years, he lived in and near Phoenix. Surviving are his widow, Lillie, of Phoenix; a daughter, Mrs. Laura Willford, Phoenix; two sons, Garvey, Phoenix, and Irwin, of Miami; three sisters, one brother, and four grandchildren. Services will be tomorrow in A. L. Moore and Sons Mortuary, 333 W. Adams. The Rev. Carl D. Holleman will officiate. Burial will be in Double Butte Cemetery. The AZ Republic Monday, Dec. 7, 1964.
