The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona, Tuesday, December 31, 2013 Sue Ann M. Spahr, 69, passed away Dec. 27, 2013 Sue was born Jan. 20, 1944, in Franklin Park, Ill. to Clarence and Maybelle Hey. Sue graduated East Lyden High School, class of 1962. She moved to Arizona in 1962 with her parents where she met her husband Donald F. Spahr. They were married July 10, 1965. They had two children, a son and daughter. They lived in Scottsdale, Ariz. until 1993, before moving to Chino Valley, Ariz. Sue showed dogs for over 30 years and was an active member on various Chino Valley advisory boards. Sue loved collecting Santa's and displayed over 500 at Christmastime. She also loved going to the NASCAR Races at Phoenix International Raceway and was Tony Stewarts biggest fan. Sue is survived by husband Donald Spahr; son Gary Spahr; daughter Donna Spahr; and her two grandchildren Krystal Metcalf and Randy Metcalf. Viewing will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 2, 2014 at the Chino Valley United Methodist Church. Funeral service is at 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 3, 2014 at Chino Valley United Methodist Church with a graveside service to follow. Heritage Chino Valley Funeral Home assisted with the arrangements.
