JULIAN, John G.

Weekly Arizona Journal Miner, Prescott, Arizona Territory Wednesday, Sept. 14, 1910, page 1, col. 1 John J. Julian Called By Reaper (From Tuesday's Daily) John J. Julian for the past four years a resident of this city, and a printer by occupation, dropped dead last night at 8 o'clock, on the corner of Cortez and Gurley streets, in front of the Bilen Lockhart store. No warning was given of the sudden summons and the supposition is that heart failure was the cause. The deceased had been in poor health for several months, suffering with chronic rheumatism, and a few days ago was seized with a hemorrhage of the stomach, which no doubt hastened the end. He has been a resident of this county for about six years, coming from Wyoming. In that state, South Dakota and Minnesota, he had been connected with iron mining, being regarded as an authority in that calling. He had at the time some copper claims in the Black Hills, near Jerome. For the past few years he abandoned his trade. He was a native of Iowa and about 56 years old. Transcriber's note: Mr. Julian is buried at the Citizens Cemetery in Prescott, Arizona.
