Donovan Dazen Sr., 41, aka Munie, went to be with the Lord December 28, 2013, in East Fork, Arizona.
Donovan was born January 5, 1972, to parents Jonathan Sr. and Lavaine Dazen.
Donovan grew up in Upper East Fork where he was surrounded by friends and family. Munie was very artistic, both in drawing and in music. At the age of 12, Munie stated playing drums for his and his brother’s trio group known as the Dazen Brothers. They entertained for different events. Munie received his education through East Fork Lutheran School where he was also a member of the Lutheran Church.
His other hobbies included freestyling/BMXing in his youth. Later he was self taught to play the guitar, mastering finger tapping and virtualistic playing. Munie was a real character, he was such a funny person, very loving, and a big hearted individual. He was a strong person.
He loved Children and loved to bake and cook. The family will miss him very much.
Munie is survived by his children Shawnta Perry, Jason Dazen, Dovonna Dazen, and Donovan Dazen; three grandchildren with on the way; brothers Tony Rico, Jonathan Dazen Jr., Fidel Dazen and Daryle Dazen; sisters Gwendalyn Howe and Joann Dazen; and his grandmother Mavis Moody.
A wake was held Friday, January 3, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at Jonathan and Lavaine Dazen Residence in Upper East Fork, Arizona. A home service was held Saturday, January 4, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. officiated by Pastor David Parson.
Interment took place after the services on Saturday, January 4, 2014 at the Moody Family Plot.
