Meldrum Mortuary & Crematory, Mesa, Arizona Ana Lilia Lopez December 11, 1960 - December 21, 2013 Ana Lilia Romero Lopez passed away at her home on December 21st, 2013 with her loving husband and children at her side. Ana was born on December 11th, 1960 in Ajo, Az. to Hector and Lilia Romero. Ana graduated from Westwood High School in Mesa. She had been working at Hawthorne Elementary School for almost 20 years prior to her passing. Ana loved working with children and the staff at Hawthorne Elementary. The staff at Hawthorne had become her second family. Ana loved to travel, meet new people, play softball and was an avid animal lover. She loved to cook and was always up for an adventure and willing to try something new. Ana is best remembered for her sense of humor and her willingness to help anyone in need. Ana is survived by her husband Ruben and their children, Jorge and Elizabeth. She is preceded in death by her father, Hector. She is survived by her mother, Lilia and seven brothers and sisters; Hector (Susan), Imelda (Danny), Raymundo (Christina), Reynaldo (Cathy), Rene, Lorenia (James), Cesar (Yvonne), as well as many nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Ana will be on December 26th from 6PM to 8 PM at Fountain of Life Church at 1718 N. Mesa Drive. Visitation is from 6 to 7pm with the service beginning at 7PM. Internment will be on Friday, December 27th at 10 AM at Queen of Heaven Cemetery, 1562 East Baseline, Mesa, AZ.
