Mohave Valley Daily News, Mohave Valley, AZ - Published in Mohave Daily News Online from Jan. 7 to Jan. 14, 2014 - Betty Lou Giersch, age 86, passed away at home on November 25, 2013 in Fort Mohave, Ariz. Betty was an amazing wife, mother and friend. She was loved by all who knew her and left a positive impact on everyone who met her. Betty was preceded in death by her loving husband, Harold Ross Giersch; and her sons, Gary L. Giersch and Harold R. Giersch Jr. She is survived by her daughter, Betty Porter of Fort Mohave, Ariz; her grandchildren, Siobhan Fleck of Fort Mohave, Ariz., Justin Porter of Bullhead City, Ariz., Candace Sharp of Atlanta, Ga., Michael Giersch and Anthony Giersch of Needles, Calif., Victoria Giersch Arkhurst of Newark, Del., and Evelyn Giersch of Elkton, Md., and her great grandchildren. No services were held at Betty's request.
