The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona, Wednesday, January 08, 2014 Starlene (McElmurry) Pylant Our dear mother, daughter, sister, aunt and grandmother, Starlene (McElmurry) Pylant, passed from this life on Jan. 4, 2014. She was born in Prescott, Ariz., on July 22, 1957, the daughter of the late Kenneth McElmurry and her mother, LaVonne McElmurry. She was welcomed in heaven by her husband George, her sister Misty-Ann, and many other loved ones. She was a graduate of Yavapai College, with a degree in general studies. Being a preschool teacher was her life work. She is survived by her mother, LaVonne (Despain) McElmurry; her children, Shawn, Anthony, Stacy and Laycee Brown-Pylant; brothers Dale, Brook and Forrest McElmurry; and grandchildren Natalie Raelynn, Lyjah Korbyn, Kieran Joseph and Cadence-Rae Kathleen Brown. She is also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until service time at 1 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 9, 2014, at the LDS Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1001 Ruth St., Prescott.
