LeRoy Lee Aiken Succumbs To Illness

LeRoy Lee Aiken, the 11 year old son of W. M. Aiken, who was brought to Prescott Sunday afternoon from Jerome Junction, suffering from acute appendicitis, passed away yesterday afternoon at the Mercy hospital. An operation was performed Thursday night, as a last resort to save his life. His death is sadly regretted by many friends and acquaintances.
He was a bright and good natured boy and much sorrow is expressed for his relatives residing at the above point.
The funeral will be held this afternoon from the chapel of the Ruffner undertaking parlors.

Popular Boy Laid To Rest
The funeral of Roy Lee Aiken, the 11 year old son of M. W. Aiken of Jerome Junction, was held yesterday morning from the Ruffner Chapel, and interment was had in the Citizen's cemetery. Many friends of the family were in attendance, from the city, while from Jerome Junction were his father, his sisters, Clara, Anna, Laurie, Amie and Josie Aiken and his brothers, Claude and Ray Aiken. Mr. and Mrs. W. R. Johnson, Mr. and Mrs. W. R. Rhodes of Jerome Junction were also present.
The bereaved relatives have the sympathy of all in their sorrow. Deceased was an unusually bright boy and was very popular with all.
Appendicitis was the fatal malady.
