The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona, Thursday, January 09, 2014 Audrey Lorene Harker Audrey Lorene Smith was born Sept. 29, 1935, on a small farm southwest of Durango, Colo., to Florence and Guilford Lawton Smith. She was the favorite daughter and ninth child. In 1943, the family moved to Durango where she continued her education. During her high school years, she began working in a bank and continued in that profession until her retirement from Wells Fargo Bank in Phoenix, Ariz. Audrey was the mother of three children, Keith (wife Becky), Kevin and Kimberly Randall. Audrey married Larry Harker on April 1, 1967, in Phoenix, Ariz. Audrey and Larry built a summer cabin in Prescott, Ariz., while working in Phoenix and made their final move to it when they retired from the banking profession in the early 1990s. Audrey enjoyed camping, fishing, snowmobiling and boating with family and friends, which led to the purchase of a motor yacht on Lake Powell. After years on the lake, they relocated the yacht to San Diego, Calif., where until last Labor Day she enjoyed vacationing. A memorial of her life is planned for 11 a.m., Jan. 18, 2014, at the Mount Vernon Church of Christ, 120 N. Mount Vernon, Prescott, Ariz. In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Mount Vernon Church of Christ is suggested. Information provided by survivors.
