The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona, Thursday, January 09, 2014 Barbara Joan (Hoover) Jayne, born June 7, 1931, in Dayton, Ohio, passed away Jan. 2, 2014, in Prescott, Ariz. She retired from Click Camera in Dayton in 1994. Barbara was a member of the Gem City chapter of Sweet Adelines from 1974 to 1994 in Dayton, winning numerous international chorus competitions. She was also a member of Song of the Pines chapter of Sweet Adelines from 1994 to 2014 in Prescott, Ariz., winning first place in Division A in 2012. She was active in both Casa Belles and Summer's Danceworks in Prescott. She enjoyed singing, and dancing, and living life to the fullest. Barbara is survived by her husband William (Bill) Jayne of Prescott Valley, Ariz.; two children, Ted Tate (Cindy) of Evergreen, Colo., and Lea Detweiler (Clyde) of Prescott; five grandchildren, Carey Lando (Todd) of San Anselmo, Calif., Justin Smith (Bethany) of Glendale, Ariz., Lindsey Smith of Tucson, Ariz., Brandon Smith of Tempe, Ariz., and Alex Tate of Ft. Collins, Colo.; two great grandchildren, Giovanni Lando and Adriana Lando, both of San Anselmo, Calif.; three sisters-in-law, Mary Williams of Las Vegas, Nev., Betty Marosok (Andrew) of Sheridan, Wyo., and Dorothy Bevilacqua of New York City, N.Y.; and one brother-in-law, Art Jayne of Bloomington, Ind. Visitation is from 5 to 9 p.m. Friday, Jan. 10, 2014, at Sunrise Funeral Home, 8167 Highway 69, Prescott Valley, Ariz.
