Richard “Rick” Lee Harver died Oct. 1, 2013, of a massive heart attack while visiting a sick friend at the VA Hospital in Denver, Colo. He was born Sept. 13, 1945, in Florence, Colo.
Rick moved to Show Low in May 2008 and back to Denver, Colo., on Sept. 30, 2013. Also known as “Bullet,” he was a very loving man who loved sports, especially Show Low High School Cougar football; his favorite player of all time was “B.J.” (number 22) who he considered the best defensive player. He also loved the Oakland Raiders and all Colorado teams. He served his country in the military as a cook and barber from 1965-69. He worked for a lumber company in Denver, Colo., where he lost half of his finger before retiring.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy, father Howard and oldest brother David (motorcycle accident in 1976).
He is survived by his brother, Boyd and wife in Napa, Ind.
