Irving graduated college from Farley Dickinson in New Jersey. He also was a paratrooper in the U.S. Army for four years. Irving was preceded in death by his mother, father, and wife Shirley. He is survived by his son, Scott Howard Friedlander of Mobile, Ala., and daughter Stacey Lynn Todd of Los Angeles, Calif. Black’s Show Low Mortuary handled arrangements.
