The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ 01/10/2014 Cindy Burnett Cindy Burnett, 47, went to be with the Lord Jan. 1, 2014, in Tucson. Cindy obtained her bachelor’s degree in 1996, her master’s degree in 1998 and her Juris Doctorate in 2003 from the University of Arizona. She was an outdoors woman and enjoyed hiking, jogging and martial arts. She even received a black belt. She respected and honored her Apache culture and traditions. She worked for the White Mountain Apache Tribe and Tohono Odham Nation in the legal field. Cindy is survived by her mother, Leona Massey; sons: Von Burnett and Chaz Burnett; brother Irvin Jones; foster brothers Randy Floyd and Rick Floyd; and aunt Betty Roach. A wake was held Jan. 8 in the Seven Mile community in Whiteriver. Funeral services were held Jan. 9 at the Seven Mile Miracle Church. Silver Creek Mortuary in Whiteriver handled arrangements.
