BOYLE, Floyd (Marvin)


The Payson Roundup, Payson, Arizona, Friday, January 10, 2014 Floyd “Marvin” Boyle On Jan. 2, 2014, we said farewell to our beloved husband, father and friend, who died at home surrounded with love at 83 years of age. Marvin was a gifted woodworker and musician who in 1946 moved from Oklahoma to Tucson, where he married his wife Clarys Sergeant after serving his country in the Army during the Korean War. In addition to working as a carpenter, Marvin taught boys in the Assemblies of God Royal Ranger program as a long-time local leader and District Commander for 14 years. After Clarys retired in 1995 from the law firm where she was employed 40+ years, the Boyles moved to Payson. Marvin and Clarys held chapel time and played music together at Payson Care Center for 17 years and are faithful supporters of the First Assembly of God church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Emma Boyle; sister, Loe Rene Yount; and brothers, Sylvester and Elbert. He is survived by Clarys, his wife of 60 years; brother, Kenneth Boyle; and sister, Norma Allen (Bob); children, Lonnie (Jamie), Doug (Jodi) and Mary Boyle (Ron); grandchildren, Kristen Hurst (Andrew), Derek, Danielle Pahlavan (Shane), Cassandra, Tyler and Tori; and great-grandsons, Jack and Nate Pahlavan. A Celebration of Life will be held in the summer of 2014.
