HERNANDEZ, Ernestine (Ernie)

Arizona Silver Belt, Globe, Arizona, Monday, January 06, 2014 Ernestine Hernandez at the age of 75 passed away peacefully at her home in Miami, Ariz. on Jan. 1, 2014. Ernestine was born in Miami on May 12, 1938. She was a homemaker. She enjoyed gardening, working on puzzles and cooking delicious meals for her family. Some of her favorite programs she loved to watch on T.V. were Judge Judy, Golden Girls, Dancing with the Stars and The Price is Right. Her favorite movie was Sister Act. She was always there for her family to lend an ear or give great advice. She was very strong in her Catholic faith. Ernestine was preceded in death by her parents, Cruz and Demecio Hernandez; four brothers and five sisters. She is survived by her five children, Bettina (Mark) Hunnicutt, Julia Underwood, Barbara Underwood, Donald (Lisa) Underwood and Anita (Ed) Zaragoza; nine grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; one brother and four sisters. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend. She will be greatly missed. Services will be held Wednesday, Jan. 8, 2014 at Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Church in Miami, Ariz. Visitation will be at 9 a.m., Rosary at 9:30 a.m. and Mass at 10 a.m. Interment will be at the Globe Cemetery.
