TURNER, Beulah (Midge)

Beulah "Midge" Turner, 82, of Glendale, Arizona passed away on March 1, 2004. Midge was born in Santa Fe, New Mexico but was raised in Peoria, Arizona where she graduated from Peoria High School. Midge played women's softball for the World Champion PBSW Ramblers in 1940. She is a softball Hall of Fame nominee. She married Thomas Turner in Wickenburg, Arizona. They were married for 45 years before his passing. She is survived by her sons, Tom Turner, Elton Turner and Jimmy Turner; her daughters, Judy Yonts, Janette Hickman, and Diane Akins; sixteen grandchildren and twenty-six great grandchildren. Memorial services were held at First Southern Baptist Church of Glendale, 10250 N. 59th Avenue, Friday, March 5, 2004. Published in the Arizona Republic on 3/4/2004.
