Norvel Owens Mortuary, Flagstaff, Arizona Lakyn Jena Lynn Olson (December 19, 1995 - January 10, 2014) Lakyn Jena Lynn Olson was taken home by angels on January 10, 2014. Lakyn was born to Eric and Tracy Olson on December 19, 1995. Born and raised in Flagstaff, Lakyn attended Flagstaff High School. She had just celebrated her 18th birthday. Lakyn was a very sweet soul. She loved spending time with her family and friends. She was an active participant of the Special Olympics. She touched the hearts of many and was unforgettable. Lakyn always had a smile and hug for everyone. Her bright smile and laughter will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Family was her passion. She loved to watch her brothers Alex and Zach play football. She loved to cheer with her sister Kennedy. She was always at the finish line when her mama and Kelsey would finish their races. She was a true blue Daddy’s girl and her Mom’s soul mate. If you met her once you were her friend. She held her friends in a special place in her heart and considered them to be her family. Lakyn is survived by her parents, Eric and Tracy Olson, her brothers Alex and Zachery Olson, her sisters Kelsey and Kennedy Olson, her grandparents Larry and Sheryl Olson, Rise and Bill McCance, her Aunt and Uncle Terry and Annette Mahan, her Aunt Tammy Mahan, Cousins Steven Mahan, Michelle Mahan, Daniel Mahan, Paige Parenteau and Trevor Parenteau. Lakyn was preceded in death by her grandparents Terry and Kathy Mahan, and her Aunt Tammie Parenteau. A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 18 at 10 a.m. at Christ Church of Flagstaff, 3475 E. Soliere Ave, Flagstaff Arizona.
