Norvel Owens Mortuary, Flagstaff, Arizona Richard "Bud" O. Weaverling (April 24, 1943 - January 13, 2014) Richard (Bud) O. Weaverling, 70 died of complications from diabetes on January 13 2014. Born April 24, 1943, in Pittsburgh PA the son of the late William and Mildred Weaverling, and late William Kuhlman. He was a graduate of Point Park College and Northern Arizona University. He served in the US Army during the Vietnam conflict. Worked for Jones & Laughlin Steel in Aliquippa, moving to Flagstaff in 1985 with his family. Worked for Northern Arizona University in the Admission Department as well as a part time instructor at CCC. He was a husband, father, a poet, a baseball fan, and a part time comedian. Those who knew him knew how dry the jokes were but was quick with a joke none the less. He is survived by his wife Susan, Son and Daughter-in-law Robert and June Weaverling. He is preceded in death by his daughter Heather Lynn who passed away October 4, 2013. Survived by a Brother-in-law and sister-in-law Dr. William and Elaine Bracciodieta of Huntington Beach, CA. The family wishes to express thanks to Pastor Kara Stewart, Living Christ family, Dr. Robert Yee and staff, Caregivers of Northland Hospice group, Northland Hospice group, neighbors and friends. There will be a memorial service on January 18, 2013 at Living Christ Lutheran Church located, 6401 N. Highway 89 at 10:00 am.
