BUCUR, Livia

Livia Bucur, 81, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, Nov. 5, 2013. Born May 28, 1932 in Felnac, Romania, she was an excellent chef. She and her family moved to the U.S. in 1979 and she has been a resident of Fountain Hills since 1998. She was the beloved mother of John Bucur Jr. and his wife, Marianne, and Daniela Sabo and her husband, Florian. She was a loving grandmother of Matthew Bucur and his wife, Natalie, Joshua Bucur and his wife, Nicole, and Joanna Sabo and Arielle Sabo. She was the oldest of six brothers and sisters. Livia never ceased praying for her loved ones. Her gentle spirit earned her the nickname “Sweetheart.” Visitation will be held on Saturday, Nov. 16, 2013, followed by a funeral service at Messinger Fountain Hills Funeral Home, 12065 Saguaro Boulevard. Interment will be at Paradise Memorial Garden, 92nd Street and Shea Boulevard, Scottsdale, where she will be laid to rest next to her husband, John Bucur Sr. A celebration of life was held at the Holiday Inn of Fountain Hills on Saguaro Boulevard.
