Michael Joseph Sudkamp, 53, passed away on Dec. 24, 2013 in Kingman.
Michael was born in Harvey, Ill. July 19, 1960 to William and Eleanor Sudkamp. Well-known as Mike by his family and friends, grew up in Illinois, graduated from Bloom Township high school, and eventually moved to Lake Havasu City, where he met Denise Gunnarsson in 1990 and they were married in 1991; he resided in Arizona for the last 24 years. He pursued education and training to become an HVAC technician. Mike worked at Pitzer Air Conditioning for many years, concluding his career at Samon’s Heating and Air Conditioning. He was an excellent tin knocker, loved working with metal, and came home with the scars to prove it.
Among Mike’s life passions was 70s and 80s music, NHRA drag racing, classic cars, and his beagle dogs, most notably Patches. His favorite song was “Come Sail Away” by the band Styx. Whether at work or play, Mike was celebrated as a kind and fun-loving person to everyone he ever encountered in the community.
Mike is survived by his only child, Jamie Lynn Sudkamp; sisters, Lois Hopman (Ben), Wilma DelNagro (Michael) and Patricia Kwains (Ronald); brother, Robert Sudkamp and ex-wife, Denise Jordan.
He will be profoundly missed by his treasured daughter, Jamie Lynn, relatives and many friends.
There will be no services at this time.
