Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, AZ - Posted: Thursday, January 16, 2014 - Jerrell Dean Bartlett passed away Jan. 13, 2014 in Lake Havasu City at the age of 90. He was born Feb. 10, 1923 in Pangburn, Ark. to Frank Bartlett and Della Mae (Parsley). Jerry, as he was known by his family and friends, has made Lake Havasu City, his home for the last 48 years being the founder of Jerry’s Golf and Canyon Tire and Auto and before retiring he was self-employed at a service station. He really loved Lake Havasu City and wishes to say, “Goodbye.” Jerry is survived by his soul mate and best friend, wife of 67 and a half years, Barbara Jean Bartlett, of Lake Havasu City; daughter, Beverly and husband Tom Hinsley, of Lake Havasu City; brother, Merle Bartlett, of Chandler; nine grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and daughter-in-law, Cathy Bartlett. He is preceded in death by his son, Albert Bartlett. There will be a visitation at Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home, Friday, Jan. 17, from 5 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be at Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home in the chapel, Saturday, Jan. 18, at 1 p.m. with Pastor Chet Anderson offering words of comfort. Military Honors will be rendered by VFW Post 9401 and the American Legion Post 81. He then will be laid to rest at Lake Havasu Memorial Gardens.
