Husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather — Byron passed away Jan. 15 and is now at home in the arms of the Lord. Byron was a wonderful, loving and generous family man who touched many lives over his 79 years of life.
He graduated from Narbonne High School, Calif., in 1952 and received an honorable discharge from the U.S. Navy in 1960. In 1954, Byron married the love of this life, Colleen. After working for Suiter Construction in Los Angeles, Calif., he moved to Parker Dam, Calif., in 1967, working for the Metropolitan Water District at Gene Camp until his retirement in 1994 as an Operations and Maintenance Supervisor. Byron was a resident of Lake Havasu City for more than 27 years and cherished family celebrations. He filled his days backpacking, racing RC cars, riding his ATV, woodworking and fishing in the Lake Havasu and Beaver, Utah, areas. He was always there helping his church, family and friends. Byron's faith was witnessed by all who knew him and memories of his talents; his voice and his good work will be everlasting. He will be deeply missed and always loved.
