PETERSEN, W. T. (Bill)


W. T. (Bill) Petersen, 60, a veteran Wickenburg merchant, died early yesterday, Dec. 7, 1964, in a La Jolla, California, clinic. For several years, Mr. Petersen owned and operated a clothing store in Wickenburg which bore his name. He went to Prescott from his native Wyoming in 1947 and came to Wickenburg in 1948. He opened a men's store and later added a women's department. Before moving to Arizona, he was employed with the Chicago, Rock Island and Pacific Railroad. At one time he was the youngest roadmaster in the system. Mr. Petersen was past president of the Rotary Club, on the board of directors of the Community Hospital, and a member of the Wickenburg Country Club, Roundup Club, and Desert Caballeros. His wife, Helen; his mother, Mrs. W. H. Petersen of Dixon, Illinois; and two sisters, both out of state, survive. Services were held in Wickenburg. The AZ Republic Dec. 8, 1964.
