Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, AZ - Posted: Wednesday, January 22, 2014 - Michael Francis Ruane, born Jan. 21, 1955 passed away peacefully in Mohave Valley, Jan. 13, 2014. He worked as a CNA at Havasu Regional Medical Center for most of his career. Mike, as we all knew him by, loved to fish. He also loved watching the Chargers play football and spending time with his family. His memory will be carried on through his two children, Michelle and Michael and his three grandchildren, along with his four siblings, Catherine, Richard, Bob and Jim. He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Trudy Ruane. Services will be at noon, Jan. 24 at Desert Lawn Memorial in Mohave Valley. ______________________________________________________ Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, AZ - Posted: Tuesday, January 21, 2014 - On Jan. 13, 2014 Michael, 58, slipped away peacefully to his Heavenly Father’s care. He was born Jan. 21, 1955 to Richard and Trudy Ruane in Eureka, Calif. He was one of five children. He grew up on the coast of California and for the last 30 years he made Lake Havasu City his home. He was employed in construction, then 19 years ago he got his Nursing Assistant Certification. He worked at the local hospital, bringing smiles and comfort to the patients and their families. He was well liked by nurses, doctors and all staff alike. He was lovingly known as “Father Mike,” inside and outside the hospital, for his kindness, quick wit and gentle smile. He is survived by his sister, Cathe (Mike) O’Connor, Rick (Blanca), Bob (Linda) and Jim (Christine) Ruane, Narda Florence; his children, Michelle Ruane, Michael Ruane, Chase Baker, Cassie Florence, Jessica Florence and Holly Florence; grandchildren, Simon, Emily, Laila, Matthew and Thomas; nephews and nieces, Randy, Jack, Jacob, Stephen, Elyse, Chelsey, Scotty, Devin and Erin. He is preceded in death by his father, mother and nephew, Ryan. The services will be Friday, Jan. 24, at Desert Lawn Funeral Home, 9250 South Ranchero Lane, in Fort Mohave at noon.
