Retired Army Major Kenneth Strand, age 93, a Bullhead City, Ariz. resident died peacefully around 4:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 7, 2014, under the compassionate care of hospice. He was born on January 31, 1920 in Mitchell, S.D. and married to Lula D. Strand for over 60 years until her death in 2003.

He was a charter member of the Community Lutheran Church in Bullhead City, Ariz.

Ken is survived by his wife, Louwella Cain; son, Keith (Cydney) Strand; daughters, Deborah Andreja, Candice Strand, Marcia (Carlos) Echeandia, and Lisa (Steve) Mack; step children; ten grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, January 25, 2014 at the Community Lutheran Church, 2275 Ricca Rd., Bullhead City, Ariz.
